Astronomy
Welcome to my new web site.

I have been interested in astronomy for many years, though most of my activities were limited to viewing the night
sky with the naked eye or with the use of binoculars.

A few years ago, I purchased an affordable commercially available computer controlled telescope.  Even though
this greatly increased the number of observable objects I could see, unfortunately, due to the faintness of all but
the moon, brighter planets, and a few other interesting objects, my viewing of the universe was limited to what my
insensitive eyes could detect.  Even with a telescope, most of the objects look only slightly more than a smudge of
light.

I then found that incredible images were being obtained from the use of a CCD camera made specifically for
astronomical imaging.  After much research, I purchased a used SBIG camera from a local imager.  Soon after I
developed an understanding of using the camera, I was capturing ancient protons in my own light polluted
backyard. The protons were there all the time, I just needed a way to capture them!

This web site has been created to serve as an organized place for me to keep my images and hopefully share
them with others who may be interested.  I hope you enjoy my site and the images,  I will add more images as they
become available.

Thanks for looking!
